Clink! Mine is a glass of Pinot Grigio tonight. I'm an author and also lucky enough to be site admin here and your hostess tonight. Please do tell us what you are drinking, where you are from and anything else we should know!
I live in a market town beside the Chiltern Hills, England, and have a West Highland White Terrier.

Permalink Reply by Juliet Greenwood on February 14, 2012 at 20:32 Hi Alison! Nice to meet you. I work with my local council too at times with my day job. And nobody is 'just' a reader. You're the precious thing the authors are chasing after!
Permalink Reply by Elin Gregory on February 14, 2012 at 20:40 Hi Alison, I'm a fellow sufferer with the local council. but at least we can read in our lunchtimes, eh?
Hi Alison and Elin, it's great to meet readers on here, glad you found this site!
Permalink Reply by Elin Gregory on February 14, 2012 at 20:25 Happy Valentine's, ladies, and gents if there are any. I'm Elin Gregory from deepest darkest Wales, I'd love a pint of mild and my first solo novella will be published next month.
Cheers *wipes foam off top lip*

I'm from deepest, darkest Wales, too. Between Anglesey and Snowdon. Lots of sheep. Congratulations on your novella. What is it called?
Permalink Reply by Elin Gregory on February 14, 2012 at 20:39 Hello Juliet. That's a lovely place to be. You're further north and west than me. I'm almost in England!
The novella is called "Alike as Two Bees" and it's gay romance. I hope you're having a grand Valentine's day.
Permalink Reply by Juliet Greenwood on February 14, 2012 at 20:45 What a lovely title! I'd love to see the cover, too.
Sounds like you're in a nice part of Wales, too. It can get a bit wild up here in the mountains!
Permalink Reply by Elin Gregory on February 14, 2012 at 20:51 I'm just on the edges of the black Mountains so, yes, it's very lush and beautiful. But you can't beat the proper mountains even though they can be wild. Have you have much snow?
I can't wait to see the final version of the cover. I'm really enjoying all the 'firsts'.
Permalink Reply by Juliet Greenwood on February 14, 2012 at 21:03 Hi Elen,
Ah, the Black Mountains - beautiful!
We haven't had any snow up here, for once. It feels a bit unnatural, and I'm afraid we're feeling just a trifle smug. I'm quite high up, so getting snowed in is an occupational hazzard.
Enjoy getting your cover. Mine was changed completely in the process, but ended up so much better than the first attempt. I'm sure yours will be lovely. Exciting!

Well, I may be biased, but a combination of Welsh and Black Country sounds pretty well perfect to me.
