Clink! Mine is a glass of Pinot Grigio tonight. I'm an author and also lucky enough to be site admin here and your hostess tonight. Please do tell us what you are drinking, where you are from and anything else we should know!

I live in a market town beside the Chiltern Hills, England, and have a West Highland White Terrier.

Hi, I'm just a reader. No blog or anything like that. I heard about this site from Kate Allan. I have a really unexciting job at the local council. Least said about that the better really!

Hi Alison! Nice to meet you. I work with my local council too at times with my day job. And nobody is 'just' a reader. You're the precious thing the authors are chasing after!

Hi Alison, I'm a fellow sufferer with the local council. but at least we can read in our lunchtimes, eh?

Hi Alison and Elin, it's great to meet readers on here, glad you found this site!

Happy Valentine's, ladies, and gents if there are any. I'm Elin Gregory from deepest darkest Wales, I'd love a pint of mild and my first solo novella will be published next month.

Cheers *wipes foam off top lip*

Hi Elin,

I'm from deepest, darkest Wales, too. Between Anglesey and Snowdon. Lots of sheep. Congratulations on your novella. What is it called?

Hello Juliet. That's a lovely place to be. You're further north and west than me. I'm almost in England!

The novella is called "Alike as Two Bees" and it's gay romance.  I hope you're having a grand Valentine's day.

What a lovely title! I'd love to see the cover, too.

Sounds like you're in a nice part of Wales, too. It can get a bit wild up here in the mountains!

I'm just on the edges of the black Mountains so, yes, it's very lush and beautiful. But you can't beat the proper mountains even though they can be wild. Have you have much snow?

I can't wait to see the final version of the cover. I'm really enjoying all the 'firsts'.

Hi Elen,

Ah, the Black Mountains - beautiful!

We haven't had any snow up here, for once. It feels a bit unnatural, and I'm afraid we're feeling just a trifle smug. I'm quite high up, so getting snowed in is an occupational hazzard.

Enjoy getting your cover. Mine was changed completely in the process, but ended up so much better than the first attempt. I'm sure yours will be lovely. Exciting!

My father's extended family are from the Black Mountains - I'm part Welsh.

Hi Nell,

Well, I may be biased, but a combination of Welsh and Black Country sounds pretty well perfect to me.
