Clink! Mine is a glass of Pinot Grigio tonight. I'm an author and also lucky enough to be site admin here and your hostess tonight. Please do tell us what you are drinking, where you are from and anything else we should know!

I live in a market town beside the Chiltern Hills, England, and have a West Highland White Terrier.

Hi, Kate! I'm Rachel Lyndhurst, a drop of something dry and red would go down rather nicely right now. I'm an author living on the south coast of England and I have a brank new release out today! A rather tasty Greek Billionaire in fact! Cheers! (need to pop out briefly and feed the rabbit - will be back!)

Welcome Rachel and congratulations on your new release!

Can you post a picture of the cover when you come back. Would be great to see it. (Also do post about it in the new books thread for Feb)

There you go,Kate! Was it OK to bring him along? He has impeccable manners ...

Similar reaction to Linda Gillard here!

Wow, nice cover, Rachel!

Hi Kate, nice to meet you!

I'm Juliet Greenwood from North Wales, (and the RNA) and I'm swigging down sipping a large glass of red. Exactly a month tomorrow, my time-slip 'Eden's Garden' will be published by Honno Press. I've just got a copy of the final cover, so I can't possibly resist posting it here in all its glory. Nothing as gorgeous as yours, Rachel - but check out the cool hat!

What a lovely cover - and great hat! Good luck. Do remember to come back next month and tell us all about it - we have monthly threads for authors to shout out about their new books.

Thanks, Kate, I will do. I'm hoping to do pop in more from now on, now the baby is safely at the printers!

Gorgeous cover, Juliet! They've done you proud.

Hi Linda, thanks!I love the covers you are putting on your books. That one for Untying the Knot is gorgeous and totally intriguing.

Thanks, Juliet. I've got the same designer doing them all and we're trying to get a "brand" look with the lettering, if not the images.

I loved the cover of UNTYING THE KNOT but some of my fans didn't. They thought it was too chick lit for me. But as I pointed out to them, the bride isn't smiling! And is she running towards her groom or away from him?... ;-)

I didn't think of her as 'chick lit'. The colours are too strong and there's something a bit wild about her. It's tricky, isn't it, finding a right 'brand'.
