Social networking for romance readers
I'm interested that despite the importance now of downloads in the music business, CDs have not disappeared. So I don't think paper books are going away any time soon. Ebooks have the potential to expand the market if anything and thus should be exciting to both readers and authors (and publishers).
I've written for both conventional, e-book publishers and now self-pubbing as well. Of the self-pubbed I tend to write novellas of which I sell as single Kindle versions and then collate them (3) as a paperback!
As a reader I'm tempted by e-books in the first instance, but will look to see if there is a paperback version if I really enjoyed it. It's the best way to find new unpublished (conventional sense) authors, of whom I love to help along the way. In fact, I've found more gems amongst the great unpublished than I have among best-sellers.
Hello Kate, Lynne and Francine,
Thanks so much for your interesting comments.
