Hi Kate

Im not sure which award I would be eligible for. I'm published by Youwriteon.com so pay a small subsidy for inclusion on Amazon etc. Does this rule me out of the Reader Award and into the New Talent award?

Thanks!

Mandy

Have added the press release to my blog.

Can someone confirm that "in the UK" means the publisher must be based in the UK, because if so that's a blow, considering no publishers willl pubish gay romance in the UK - or is it "books must be available in the UK"?

Hi

Embrace books have a new imprint called Saffron. Below is an extract from their website:-

Saffron at Embrace

Quality lesbian fiction, including short romance and erotica.

Our first Saffron title is THE DREAMERS by Tanwen Coyne.

These stories engage the reader within a world of female-female relationships, in a range of romantic, erotic, historical, paranormal, crime, thriller and suspense fiction.

From significant commercial fiction to hot, irreverent erotica, Embrace Books provides a brand-new British home for powerful lesbian writing with a global outlook.

I hope this helps!

Mandy

it's useful, and I'll certainly pass the information on to the UK writers, but it's not helpful for me--I don't write lesbian fiction.  I woudn't risk going with a new publisher, though.

Thanks!

Does not matter where publisher is based - just that novels must be published (i.e. available) in the UK.

In terms of gay romance in the UK I know that both Xcite Books and Total-E-Bound publish gay romance and both will be involved with the Festival of Romance which is great.
