Comment by Francine Howarth on October 31, 2012 at 10:39 Rosanna be prepared for the realism of PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) the condition many soldiers of today suffer. But of course back in history the condition was unknown as such and usually referred to as war madness. Also the contentious subject "RAPE" enters play, too, and proved contentious re negative reviews. ;)
Hello again! Francine, I have a copy of Her Favoured Captain and can't wait to read it! Victoria, so glad to see your story is expanding! Sandy, nice to meet you as well! I'm in Toronto, Ontario and like to write erotic romances about flustered Canadian heroines who have no idea what to do with the Greek gods and selkies who suddenly drop into their lives. LOL. And I'm glad you all like the activity, because Sheri, Brenda and I have been known to talk... :)
Have a great day!
Comment by Victoria Adams on October 30, 2012 at 3:18 Yes - the book started as a single title - then grew into two - suddenly is three- and I'd better get the third one published before it morphs into a fourth.
Comment by Brenda Dyer on October 30, 2012 at 1:32 Victoria, isn't it funny how stories take on a life of their own?
Comment by Victoria Adams on October 29, 2012 at 22:22 I'll jump in here - I write contemporary romance and new adult romance (ages 17 and up).
I am publishing a trilogy that wasn't supposed to be one. ANd my next WIP is a single title - I hope!
Comment by Francine Howarth on October 29, 2012 at 9:56 Hi ladies,
Good to see activity on here again, and a big welcome to the newbies. I pen romantic contemporaries and historical novels. Some of the latter are murder mystery romances. At present I'm working on book 2 in series of four novels spanning the English Civil War, the Restoration of the Monarchy and the Monmouth Rebellion. Two historical murder mysteries in the pipeline!
I'm UK based: where are you? .
Comment by Sandy Nachlinger on October 29, 2012 at 5:08 @Sheri: I write women's fiction / romance.
Comment by Sheri Fredricks on October 29, 2012 at 4:17 Yay! More of your series too, Rosanna! Looking forward to it.
Sandy - what genre do you write?
Thanks Sheri and Brenda! My Jan release is called "Sunburn," naturally the story of Apollo and the latest in my Greek god series. In it, Apollo is the owner of a sexy Mexican resort...and my heroine is a Rubenesque travel blogger who's there to review his resort. Apollo learns her days are numbered and must decide what to do with her before Death comes calling, while dealing with his own dark past. My tagline is "The god of the sun has a dark side." So glad to hear you are both continuing in your fabulous series!! Yay!
Comment by Sandy Nachlinger on October 29, 2012 at 4:08 It's great to see activity in this group again! I'm working on edits of my second book too, in preparation for submitting. It's slow going.
