Royal weddings: grand or intimate?

Posted on April 30, 2011 at 11:08 2 Comments

Yesterday millions of people watched the Royal wedding on television in addition to the 1,900 guests in Westminster Abbey but they have not always been such well attended affairs. The Chapel Royal in St. James's Palace was a popular setting for marriage during the reign of Queen Victoria and only seats 100. Hi Alison,

Just read your inroduction where you say you're 'just' a reader.  No such thing  as 'just' a reader! Without readers we writers would be writing for ourselves - and although most of us do, it's nice to think there's a 'wider' audience out there, who can also enjoy our work!

Nice to meet you, can't think why I haven't come across you before , you've been here a while! :)

Hi Alison,

Thanks for the welcome.

I should probably un-tick the bookseller button, as I am ‘between’ jobs at the moment. But I was a bookseller for 6+ years, so it’s force of habit.

Thanks for the invite to the book club, I may take you up on the offer in the new year when I have a bit more time.

All the best,

Shelly.

Hi,

Thanks ever so for friend invite! Good to meet you.

As for getting into the swing of this site, it'll likely take me a little while to get around all items of interest. I'm guessing this place is gonna get crowded fairly soon: lots of activity. ;)

best
