About me
Hi, I'm Aurelia B Rowl.

I never considered myself a writer and ignored all the evidence to the contrary. Not realising I had a natural, instinctive talent for writing, I knuckled down and got a job after school, becoming a jack-of-all-trades as I moved from one job to the next on a quest to find my ideal career.

After a couple of false starts (and kissing too many frogs), I found my Mr Right and we married one Valentine’s Day (aww!). Soon after, I became a stay-at-home mum to our two children, now 5 and 3, and fulfilled my lifelong dream but with my family complete, including a mad rescue mutt, I needed a new challenge... a new dream.

After rediscovering my passion for reading, I couldn’t keep my muse on a leash any longer. Ten months on, I typed ‘the end’ on my first full manuscript and hit send. A contract arrived in my inbox less than a week later and I finally figured out I'd been a writer all along. I am now guiltily counting down the months until I have both kids at school full-time and can really get down to some writing.

I live on the edge of the Peak District in the UK with my very understanding family who are getting used to me being too caught up with my latest writing project… or three! My debut novel, Christmas is Cancelled, will be released by Breathless Press in December 2012.
