Hi Debbie, welcome to the site! Linda Gillard did a good blog post on her about her Kindle self-publishing experience. I'm about to self-publish myself - going to a learning curve certainly.

Hi Debbie, and welcome to FoR.

Yes, I've self-pubbed a historical novella to Kindle and made a book trailer (posted to YouTube and Amazon) to help in marketing it. It's selling well despite lack of marketing for my part, bar for odd Tweet here and there. I really haven't gone all out to flog it.

But, I have a contemporary coming out with a US publisher July 2012, and that's when I'll start pushing the historical. I already have another historical novella in the pipeline and due for release early/mid September, its book trailer complete, too, along with cover image.

The first book trailer available for viewing at my blog. http://francinehowarth.blogspot.com.

best
