About me
I was born in London in 1962.I currently live in deepest rural France but return frequently to the UK for family duties and business.

I have been writing since childhood and have won numerous local, national and international prizes for poetry and short stories. I published a short story 'Sub-Prime' and a romance novel 'Knockout! A Passionate Police Romance' in 2011. I blog daily about the trials and tribulations of life as a romantic novelist living abroad, as well as social comment on local, national and international news and events.

I have never woken up to a day when I didn’t want to write, even when I have been working in hotel kitchens, stuffing feathers in a mattress factory, operating a bakery oven and all manner of temporary office work. If I can write at all, then all those days contribute something to each page.

I love the story of Anna & Freddie.

It really kept my interest in reading the story!!!
5.0 out of 5 stars Really loved this book,
This review is from: Knockout! A Passionate Police Romance (Kindle Edition)

Wow. This book kept me reading into the wee hours of the night. Not only is it a compelling mystery, it's also a sexy love story. The passion between Anna and Freddie is worth reading just for itself, but the Interpol/police story line was extremely interesting. Great book; just the thing for a summer read. It's well written and I was totally swept up in the world of the book. That's what reading a good book is all about, isn't it? You get to leave your life for a while and be entertained by someone else and their problems. Anna is a strong woman, and it makes for great reading as she struggles to overcome problems, both past and present. Powerful love story with a punch.

Ooh yes, it can get a bit rough in the Kindle forums from time to time. I think one needs either those red boxing gloves of yours or elephant hide. I'm not sure Kindle forums are good for the soul. :o

As to self-pubbing despite contracted contemporary novel. Yes, I'll keep going with Kindle and paperbacks as I have a few pre-published romantic mainstream novels, inclusive romantic suspense that are way out of print and rights reverted. I have several erotic pre-pubbed novels kicking around on a pen-stick and again rights reverted. I also have a hot potato historical out on submission with Choc-Lit, but kind of expecting that might get cast to the fires of publisher hell and cindered for being too risque sex wise. It's titled "Scandalous Seduction", and touches on a historical Lolita type twist in the first half. Regretted of course by the heroine, and the actual hero is to die for. ;)

Hi Emma,

Thanks ever so for the friending. Blogging is good fun, and worth putting up blog/web site urls on FoR so that we can all connect via our blogs. I recently posted a historical novella The Highwayman's Mistress to Kindle. It's set during the French Revolution at the time when the royals were taken from Versailles to Paris! I went purely on memory re distances between places and worked out in my head how long it would have taken travelling with horses and coche. Having had horses all my life that was pretty easy stuff to work with. I love history so research wise again re times of events in sequence a fun thing to do.

What made you go for a passionate police drama? ;)
