'Only a Hero Will Do' Getting use to blogging

Hi EveryoneBlogging use to terrify me and send me shivering into the corner with a strong drink - and I still find it a  bit of an ordeal. But having participated in my first blog hop last week with my publishers  Musa Publishing  I am slowly gaining confidence. One thing I have realised is that I much prefer my characters  to talk  instead of me - they have far more to…See More

Publication at last!

Hi EveryoneI was extra careful not to fall down any more stairs after missing the first release date of Only a Hero Will Do  and can now breathe a sigh of relief as it finally sits on the virtual bookshelves. Only a Hero will Do is set in 1810 and is my first full length publication. It is a romantic historical with a lot of humour I certainly had a lot of fun writing the story.  . …See More

Falling At The Last Hurdle

Hi Everyone .

I have been fairly quiet lately after breaking my arm in two places just four weeks before the release date of my first novel. Needless to say it was a rotten start to 2012.  Being unable to use a keyboard just when you are caught up in a frenzy of editing is really frustrating.

Anyway, I am up and running now and looking forward to…

Buckler's Hard

Posted on September 29, 2011 at 10:23 5 Comments

Spent an afternooon at Buckler's Hard in the New Forest . Great  place for inspiration if -like me - you write historical romance which involves chapters set at sea. Some of the ships that took place in the Battle of Trafalgar were built here.
As well as the maritime history, the recontructed parts of the village give a great insight into eighteenth century  life. Add the tranquility of the Beaulieu river and a sunny day ...bliss

Hi,

I'm greedy, I have two blogs. My author blog purely for talking about my books and research etc., which has fewer followers than my fun-writer blog, The latter blog is a place for getting involved in writer challenges, and believe it, there are loads out there on blogoland to get involved in. It's a great way to up your platform profile, interaction being the name of the game. It's also a way of sharing you writing skill, or not, with fellow writers. ;)

best
