Is anyone interested in having a self-pub/Indie promo group?
Although I was published in the conventional sense years ago (another pseudonym) and now once again contracted to a US publisher, I am nonetheless self-pubbing historical romance novellas. Why you might ask. Simply because I see no point in subbing them to publishers and not one of the latest releases has met with a submission editor's desk at a publishing house. The returns re royalties via a publisher can't match royalties direct from Amazon, not on a novella. I'm also about to self-pub…

Hope that it's OK for me to post this, here, but it's a great comp, just right for writers of romantic fiction. And who can resist the lure of money and chocolate?

How often should a new writer blog?
As you know my website and blog launched yesterday. http://www.emilyharvale.com.
I'm new (this year) to the whole concept of writing to be published - I write because it's fun - so I'm not sure if there's a 'tried and tested' procedure for blogging.
I know some writers/authors blog once a week whilst others only do so when they have something in particular to 'say'.
My blogs are not going to be exclusively about…

Movember support
I don’t usually do this – but my boyfriend Mark is growing a moustache during November (Movember) to raise money for testicular cancer, and is hoping to raise a good amount. If you know of anyone looking to donate a dollar/pound towards sponsoring Movember you can do so on his page. http://uk.movember.com/mospace/2724598/
Thanks so much,…

Romantic Times
I've just heard that my first novel Reprobate Lord, Runaway Lady, has been nominated for an award in the US by Romantic Times. As a relative newcomer to romance writing, actually any writing, I haven't a clue as to how important or otherwise this is but my editor tells me that it's definitely a Good Thing!
