Festival of Romance announces bumper programme

With dozens of authors, a bumper weekend full of fun and a new town centre venue, the 2012 Festival of Romance looks to be bigger and better this year. Taking place from the 16th to 18th November in a variety of venues all within the historic county town of Bedford, the full Festival programme has now been announced and tickets are now on sale. Authors appearing range from bestselling stars such as Trisha Ashley, Miranda Dickinson, Jean Fullerton, Carole Matthews, Sue Moorcroft and Hazel Osmond to new faces in romantic fiction celebrating first novels. The Festival special guests for 2012 are Jane Wenham-Jones and the winner of Romantic Novel of the Year 2012 Jane Lovering and the Festival is delighted to be joined by many publishers and literary professionals. From a Rock Star Party to an Historical Afternoon Tea, tickets are keenly priced and with several events including a Romance Fair and Readathon with free entry there is no excuse for fans not to come to Bedford this November and celebrate romantic fiction.

Tickets for the UK's only literary festival dedicated to romantic fiction of all kinds can be purchased online or via Bedford Central Box Office on 01234 269519.

Bedford is pretty central geographically in the country so hope to see lots of members of this site there x

A little too far for me too. Going to Penrith for the RNA conferenece has eaten up my budget (and babysitting goodwill!) for this year, so maybe next year...

Have a great time everyone who is going! And please post pictures.

I would so love to attend this upcoming bash (sounds wonderful) but long-distance car travel is just not my thing these days, and numerous train changes Swansea, Paddington etc.,render the journey a nightmare instead of a relaxing affair. I'll check out the local helicopter service, which in itself will entail a reasonably short flight to London Airport and thence by heli to nearest private landing pad adjacent to Bedford. To charter a flight direct from Haverfordwest to Bedford, might be a bit OTT price wise. ;) Now if the Festival was being held in Bath or surrounding area (famed for Roman/Georgian/Regency architecture) it would be but a short hop from the far West of Wales.
