Social networking for romance readers
The Festival of Romance has opened the doors for authors to sign up to take part in the Festival in its second year. Following a successful debut last autumn in Hertfordshire, the Festival is moving a few miles north and to a town centre location in Bedford. "We want to take advantage of a variety of venues available," said organiser and chief romantic Kate Allan. "But most importantly feel more like a literary festival with a wider choice of accessible events for readers to dip in and out of." The Festival of Romance 2012 promises more of the same and more with a gala awards ceremony and ball taking place on the evening of Friday 16th November and then continuing throughout the weekend with a variety of themed events for readers of romantic fiction as well as creative writing workshops and a chance for aspiring authors to meet publishers.
Authors wanting to take part in the Festival must sign up as a supporting author prior to 1st April 2012. "We're delighted to be working with Bedford Central Box Office for our ticket sales and therefore we have to have the programme organised a lot earlier than last year," said Kate Allan."Good news for readers as we'll be able to announce our full programme a lot earlier."
Information for authors interested in taking part in the Festival is here, and authors can sign up here.
