Social networking for romance readers
I thought it might be good to start a thread where authors can post their latest blog post.
It's so interesting to see what everyone else is up to and I love discovering new blogs and authors.
To get the ball rolling, here is my latest post:
HENRY VIII - FAT OR FICTION?
I thought it would be fun to compare Henry VIII, as created in TV series, The Tudors, with accounts of the real king. In his later life King Henry VIII was famed for being obese:
“ …[King Henry VIII] laboured under the burden of extreme fat and [an] unwieldy body.”
Edward, 1st Baron Herbert of Cherbury.
However chief executive producer, Morgan O’Sullivan was refreshingly honest about his attitude to Johnathan Rhys Myers portrayal of the ageing king:
“We still want him to be appealing. We don’t want to destroy his good looks. An exact portrayal of Henry is not a factor that we think is important.”

A possible promo opportunity for you:
From September, I want to start running a series of guest blog posts about books we love along the same lines as 'Inheritance Tracks' on Saturday Live on Radio 4. You tell me which book you 'inherited', metaphorically or physically, from the older generation and the book you'd leave to the younger generation.
If you're interested in doing a post, please email me on rhodabaxter@gmail.com and I'll send you more info.
My plan was to do it for one year (so there are 52 slots).
Thanks
Rhoda
