Women's fiction and chick lit website Novelicious has teamed up with two leading publishers and a literary agent to launch today a brand new writing competition, Novelicious Undiscovered. The competition is open to all UK resident writers who are unagented and not currently under contract and is being run in association with Avon Books, Simon and Schuster UK's Books in the City and literary agent Diane Banks. Writers have until 3rd April 2012 to submit the opening 3,000 words of a women's fiction novel with popular appeal. The top twenty entries will be showcased on the site during May and June and put to a public vote. There are a host of prizes for the winners and runners up which include literary critiques from editors at Avon and Simon and Schuster. "I'm delighted to have the opportunity to critique the winner of Undiscovered and the option to offer them representation," said literary agent Diane Banks.

From the top twenty entries, two Novelicious Undiscovered winners will be announced on 26th June.
